The Pentagon

The headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, which supervises the country's national defense and military affairs. Can also refer to the Department of Defense itself.

Located in Washington D.C., the name is derived from the five-sided building housing the DOD personnel. The Pentagon is the largest department of the US government, overseeing the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines.
