ID Gun

A gun controlled by the SOP System, requiring an ID check before it can be used.

A check is carried out between the ID registered on an individual's nanomachines and the ID chip inside the weapon, allowing only authorized ID'd personnel to use an ID gun. Therefore, even if an unregistered individual should steal a weapon from an enemy, they will not be able to fire it. Data such as weapon firing, magazine changes, verification, non-verification, and ID tampering are all sent in real-time to a host computer.
