The supreme AI serving as head of the AI network that makes up the Patriots. The name "John Doe" is traditionally used for denoting unidentified male bodies. Under JD's authority lie 4 other AIs—GW, TJ, AL, and TR. With the outbreak of the Big Shell Incident, Arsenal Gear's GW is abandoned, and the remaining 4 AIs continue to govern the world's economic, political, legal, social, and cultural information.

JD is housed in a US military satellite on an elliptical synchronous orbit disguised as space debris.
