Removable storage media containing read-only memory (ROM) for storing software. They were sold for use in home video game systems and home computers. The MSX2 game Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake was released on a MegaROM cartridge, a special ROM cartridge that had 4 MB (512 KB) of memory.
Dr. Kio Marv left behind a ROM cartridge when he was abducted in 1999 during the Zanzibarland Disturbance. Within the cartridge he had hidden a microfilm detailing OILIX.
