Sergei Gurlukovich

Former GRU colonel turned mercenary leader.

He joined hands with Revolver Ocelot in the hope of rebuilding the Soviet Union.

As a child, he lived in the city of Snezhinksk, formerly known as Chelyabinsk-70, closed to the outside because of its role in the nuclear program. Following the Soviet Union's collapse, he fell for the American capitalist ideal.

He claimed that both nuclear and Metal Gear technology were Russian inventions, and attempted to join Liquid Snake in the 2005 uprising on Shadow Moses Island before Liquid's maverick actions brought the uprising to an end.

In 2007, he attempted to steal the US Marine Corps-developed Metal Gear RAY, but was betrayed and shot by Revolver Ocelot, left to sink together with the tanker transporting the weapon.
