Kyle Schneider

Leader of the resistance movement that fought to suppress the 1995 Outer Heaven Uprising. Formerly an architectural engineer, he was a member of the Outer Heaven facility design staff until his wife and child lost their lives as innocent victims of the conflict. Their deaths spurred him to commence underground operations which grew to a full-blown resistance movement under his keen eye and strong leadership.

After the fall of Outer Heaven, Schneider felt that he had lost his reason for living and began to resonate with Big Boss's dreams of creating a world in which soldiers could fulfill their "sole purpose" in life. Shortly after Big Boss gained leadership over Zanzibarland Schneider became his ally. In 1999, during the Zanzibarland Disturbance, Schneider came to Zanzibarland's defense as the mercenary known as "Black Ninja".
