As the war economy has developed, battlefield advertising has intensified as PMCs and defense contractors compete for market share. These ads are also part of a battle for the minds of the public and shareholders. PMC ads frequently try to downplay their image as warmongers and instead present them as champions of justice fighting for peace, as they try to appease peace organizations opposed to PMCs and the new war economy.
