The microfilm obtained by the American CIA through Operation Snake Eater only revealed the location of half of the Philosophers' Legacy. Naked Snake was abducted and interrogated by FOX in an effort to learn where the rest was hidden.

However, Naked Snake had no idea where the rest of the Philosophers' Legacy was.
