Food Capture

The capture/collection of plants and animals for food during an infiltration mission.

Naked Snake relied on food capture during the Virtuous Mission and Operation Snake Eater.

A variety of plants and animals are subject to food capture, including snakes, crocodiles, mice, and mushrooms.

Captured plants and animals can be eaten and are a very important source of stamina during an infiltration operation.

Of course, the amount of stamina recovered varies depending on what is eaten. Also, if kept over long periods of time, the plants and animals will decay.

By using a tranquilizer gun to put small animals to sleep and then caging them, they can be stored alive for prolonged periods.
