Metal Gear (TX-55)

A nuclear-armed bipedal walking tank developed in 1995 by Dr. Pettrovich Madnar, a Russian cyberneticist. Capable of launching various mid-range and short-range nuclear warheads. Is also fixed with a machine gun and missiles, and can operate on its own.

However, it was destroyed by Solid Snake before it was ever activated.

The concept for a nuclear-armed bipedal walking tank was first proposed in 1964 by the Soviet scientist Aleksandr Leonovitch Granin.
