Boot Camp

In the Marines, new recruits and reservists are called "boots". A boot camp is the base where new recruits undergo basic training. Located in Parris Island, South Carolina, and San Diego, California. Among the four branches of the US Armed Forces, the basic training for the Marines is considered to be particularly tough.
