Psychological Counselor
01
Today, it is not unusual for psychological counselors to serve with the military to assist soldiers dispatched to battlefields.
The importance of psychological counselors was first brought up after the Vietnam War. At that time, more than 30,000 soldiers complained of mental distress and suffered from post-war symptoms.
Since then, the US military has required all soldiers to undergo periodic examinations by a psychological counselor. Also, when soldiers are dispatched, they are accompanied by a Combat Stress Platoon, which thoroughly manages the soldiers' mental health.
